Report 10-31-23! We finally got a bit rain this past weekend albeit not the big rain we hoped for to get the steelhead rivers really moving. Pike and smallmouth are still providing good opportunities in the inland rivers and some decent musky action as of late too. Finding smallmouth requires looking at deep drop offs with minimal (if any) current. Streamer fishing is still prevailing but work them slow. Pike are still moving into flats on cloudy days to feed. Find the masses of suckers and you'll find the pike. I haven't steelhead fished much yet but it's about to get busy. Most of the leaves are coming down and by the time we get our next rain I think we'll have the lead issues behinds us. Most steelhead are low in the rivers and in the harbors. Not a bad time to try streamer fishing for them with clouded minnows and small game changers. More soon, -Josh
